If there is an infection from breast-feeding or something, there will be erythema and warmth moving outward from the nipple. If there is a space occupying lesion (tumor) you will see pulling in a certain direction. If you are doing a breast exam remember that it is not exclusively on the chest, it extends up into the armpit. A breast exam is something you do if someone has a complaint in that area. Discharge: quantity, color, any blood in the discharge. Galactarea, is when someone is lactating but not pregnant. Tenderness, lump, swelling, or rash in the axilla pmhx: Start with o so that you have onset right off the bat. Divided into 4 areas: upper inner, upper outer lower inner, lower outer, and then also the axillary tail of spence, always use a clock to reference where a lump etc. is.
