Vita signs will be different when a person is in pain. Important things to remember with drugs onset to action, and how long they last in the body. Ibuprofen will kick in fast so if someone comes with a headache that is what you would give them right away. Pain: subjective sensory and emotional experience of discomfort; associated with potential and/or actual tissue damage. Manifestations will be physiological, physical, and behavioural. If someone comes and has hypertension but you can give medication to drop blood pressure by prescribing them something to loose liquid by peeing. But they could also have osteoarthritis in their knees and this pain will impede movement. But this person has a hard time getting to the bathroom because of their knees and therefore they could stop taking their medication. This is why when the person comes in you have to ask if there are any other issues.
