Why does sweating help cool the body: what properties of a carbon atom are critical to life, name 3 polysaccharides composed of polymers of glucose. How do these macromolecules differ from each other: describe the properties of the 3 different types of lipid molecules. These bonds are weak and broken and reformed often. When large numbers of these bonds act together they are actually quiet strong as there attractive force is additive. An example of this is the two strands of a dna molecule. Ionic bond a crystal of table salt is held together by an electrostatic attraction between positively charged na and negatively charged cl ions. This type of bond is quiet strong unless dissolved in fluid such as water: hydrogen bonds are the weakest bond of all they are readily broken by thermal energy alone. These bonds occur between most polar molecules and are particularly important in determining the structure and properties of water.
