In the next 10 years, canada"s minerals resources industry will require up to 80,000 new employees. 25 to 40% of current workers plan to retire within 10 years. Things don"t just come from shelves, ultimately they have to be dug out, comes from oil or minerals. How do we find these minerals --> everywhere we need to find at least 54 billion tonnes of material is dug out of the earth and used each other. Lots of gold comes from canada, copper, nickel, all sorts of other things. Canada is biggest mining country in the world! Early indian arrowheads were made out of flint, and chert evidence of these materials. Not until later people found out their was metal in ground --> copper and gold. Than lead, tin, zinc , and silver were also discovered and other metals began to be made. We started to mix minerals --> and make alloys.
