Seasons of birth can be related to food supply. Gives birth to tiny tiny babies about 50. The little tiny babies fight for the teats, they hold on for 4 months. Little babysitting then mom comes back to feed own kids. Need to search for babies, other babies also try to steal milk. Hear the babies cry to figures out which baby is there"s. Diversity of baby calls, need acute hearing and acute vocal range. In solitary bats, the diversity of baby calls and acute hearing to search for baby calls is not as needed. Waste of energy for something they have less use for. Last years chicks help the new batch, many males never make a new family, just raise siblings, also female helpers but some leave. Still passing on related genes because those are his siblings. Young chimps need to learn social structure and complex food sources.
