Intermediate filaments used for anchored junctions, made out of keratin, it can accumulate to plaque. Cilia very numerous , moving over and above, short, moves right at the base at the plasma membrane, more of a orb, whips back and forth to move. Flagellum usually 1or 2, moves the cell it sell, long, first part is ridge immobile, long in a s wave or like a propeller. Without the anchor it cannot walk on top each other and fall apart there will be bend but instead slip apart. Dynein pushes the other to create a bend the nexin keeps it in place while it gets close to the end it wips back. Each cell has centrosome, made up of 2 centrioles, at a right angle with respect to each other (l- shaped) Centrioles are made of 9 microtubule triplets arranged in a ring structure(no central triplet) Will serve as anchor to cilia and flagellum.
