Document Summary

Ability to produce atp through oxidative phosphorylation: has its own plasma membrane and membrane of what engulfed it, ended up in symbiotic relationship with other bacterial cell, end result is bacterium, symbiosis endosymbiosis. Mitochondria dna sequences used to develop evolution. Mitochondria are a maternal to dna lineages. One descending lineage the connects all bacteria. When chromosome is duplicated everyone gets the right chromosome content. If not the dna would get mixed. Composed of microtubules: direct construction of cell skeleton, pericentriole, divide and go to opposite ends. Dimers added at end and microtubule grow longer. Spindle fibers brought to center of cell to chromosomes and the chromosomes get pulled apart during meiosis and mitosis. Molecular motor: dynein, kinesin, walk in opposite direction, myosin, little protein molecules run along rails the chromosome built to guide them where to go, microtubules has a polarity to it.
