Document Summary

We not have living forms on the planet in the archean. Here we are talking about whether there is a membrane bound nucleus present in the cells or not. In the rst organisms there was no membrane bound nucleus. Probable sequence was autotrophy is a derived trait as the rst thing on the planet was a soup of nutrients hence photosynthesis wasn"t necessary as all the nutrients were already there. Multi cellular eukaryotic autotrophs, multicellular ingestive heterotrophs, multicellular absorptive heterotrophs (?) Realize that we can"t lump them into categories based on appearance alone hence the category domain was made. Thus we made the two bacterial domains of: eubacteria and archea. Dna not in a membrane can be easily damaged (?) Histones keep dna from getting damaged but the eubacteria do not have these. Complex rna polymerase: larger enzyme with more regulatory components. Aka the way they store their dna is different and how they make their dna is different.
