Top down & bottom up processing top down: ethical one intention processing : you are consciously directing your attention towards it. Bottom up opposite: something in environment that you are not paying attention to, it captures your attention (ex. Car attention you are not expecting it or not paying attention to it it catches your attention) Magicians are good at manipulating your attention causes you to pay attention to the one specific task. Difficult task: causes poor performance because there is a smaller residual capacity.
