Severe anemia: hf, bf, acute mi, hypercholesterolemia. Calcium channel blockers: warfarin, oral contraceptives, grapefruit juice, oat bran. Fatigue: blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, nausea, vomiting. Sweating: mild gi irritation, rash, headache, myopathy (muscle pain) Inhibits platelet aggregation: reduces formation of clot. Pregnancy: mi, active bleeding, gi ulcer, vitamin k deficiency, recent stroke, breastfeeding. Traumatic injury: anticoagulants, nsaids, alcohol, garlic, ginger, gingko. Fish oil: nausea, vomiting, bleeding, dizziness, gi upset/ ulcer, diarrhea, bruising. Client teaching: report numbness or tingling, use soft-bristle toothbrush, report bleeding/ bruising. Sodium-restricted diet: notify of loss of appetite, lower stomach pain, diarrhea, weakness, drowsiness, headache. Change pos"n slowly: never use erectile dysfunction drugs with this. Nursing considerations: watch for decrease in, monitor sodium, Bp and hr: watch for bruising, bleeding, loc, light- headedness electrolytes, bp, hr levels, monitor bp.
