This drop is not mediating the feeding behaviour. Can manipulate, by not giving them food, and will see the blood sugar level back up regardless. The drop indicates that there is an intention to eat (time to eat! Drop is from drop in insulin in the anticipation of feeding. Factors that influence satiety: experience with food can influence satiety (ie. know the amount of pizza to be full) sham eating exp: bypass the esophagus, and nothing will get into the system. After the surgery, will also eat ~10g/ day, but since there is the surgery, over time will eat more than 10g. See synching in bites (similar patterns in behaviours: sensory specific satiety: full is to a particular type of taste, so another type of taste can stimulate more eating.
