Alchohol: hallucinogens, psychedelic (mind manifesting) drugs that distort perceptions and evoke sensory images in the absence of sensory input, ex. Psychological tolerance: body has learned the effects of the drug and how to deal with it. In the absence of the drug, user may feel physical pain and cravings.
