The script isn"t meant to be consumed by the audience but rather nuts the end product, the movie, that is meant to be consumed and appreciated. You should know how to write story in other genres like fiction. Actors, the director, assistant directer , technical people= set designers. Slug lines- the denmark the scenes and tell time. Action- what is happening on screen, what we see on the screen along with sounds we hear. When you use long speeches use them significantly. For screenplays (and for tv scripts as well) make them readable and engaging, while sticking to the format. One page= 1 page of a certain 1 min amount of screen time simple slug lines indicating int. Or ext. location and time of day (day or night)
