Analysis of tourism sector has focused on two issues: demand for tourism products and
supply of tourism products
“Tourism supply is the result of those productive activities that involve the production of
goods and services required to meet tourism demand and which are expressed in tourism
consumption” (Sessa 1983:59)

Tourism supply is important as it shows how the tourism industry is organized and
