Disparities within the countries: if you divide up the different provinces/areas within a country, one area could be as progressed as western countries, and some could be as low as pakistan. Huge gap between the west and developed countries is significantly decreasing, and we are all progressing together. Mortality (y axis) vs. gdp (x axis) Asia, arabic countries are much more ahead for health (social progress) rather than economic progress. 1920: rate of change was enormous from 1920 to now for japan. Singapore is the healthiest country in the world.
