Parts are interdependent and need to stay in balance so living things can function. Society is like a living organisms: they are all equal, the parts are economy, political order, education, religion, science, family, mass media - This institutions are equal none can be more powerful. However, economy seems to be in charge. First thing that needs to happen is to keep people alive. Economy relates to the relations/practices to which the group meets the substances needs of its members. Need to be feed, sheltered, and clothed. Only 2 civic holidays are christian because the colonizers of our country were christian. Canada is a multicultural country - but only christian civic holidays. Too costly - pay more double time, more stats. Economy in charge limits to the idea that society is a living organism.
