Looking at how things how naturally and applying that to people. Some species can become incompatible and die, another one takes over. Urban city: growth patterns and expansions, the bulls eye (zones, concentric zones) different types of people living in each zone. Zone one: most expensive, loop, only commerce business theatres city hall transportation. Zone two: (inner city) transitional, property values eroded, rent cheap because there"s no maintenance since people will buy them for business anyway. Zone four: residential, single family dwellings, more expensive. Zone five: commuter zone, bigger properties, houses, work in the city, oprah. Social disorganization: zone two has the most crime. Illegal conduct, constant people moving in and out, no connections and disorganization. Improve the quality of life, community centers, etc. Therefore is must serve a purpose/function, there is a service for crime. Manifest: intended, make certain behaviours against the law liek stealing so we know that we can"t.
