Prestige of psychology as a discipline as been going down. When there is more than 50% women in a discipline, prestige tends to go down (vs. with men, prestige tends to go up) Canadian psychologists struggles for gender equality: early years. 1938: 53 psychologists in canada (6-7 were women)
