The first stop is called the initial state, which is the knowledge and resources you have to begin with. Then you need operators to change you state and work towards reaching your goal. Path constraints include ethical limits that narrow down your solutions. Problem space is all the states that can be reached in solving a problem. In this framework, you would think that problem solving means exploring every branch of solutions. Like a game of chess, depends on the other player"s response to your movesand since there are so many possibilities, there is no time to explore each one. Like trying to climb the hill while on a hike, at each choice point you chose the option that will lead you to your goal. Helpful but limited: sometimes you need to move away from the goal to gain a new perspective, and here is were the solution is found.
