Document Summary

All people think, feel and perceive with our senses. You reflect on what you see and feel when you think. Thinking could be a human thing, animals can think but maybe not at the same level. Senses can be deceived, but thinking is different. Two sense perception: perceptual thinking is a special and a temporal. Thinking gives us more than emotion and senses and it cannot be easily deceived (pg. 50, 88, if you rely just on your eyes you would think that the sun was as big as your thumb because that"s how it appears. Our senses can provide false conclusions about the nature of thinking. A universal is something that applies to individual things. When you say dogs you are talking about every possible dog in the past present and future. Every noun is a universal (not your name) but every possible chair when you refer to chair the reason is the logos.
