Introduction: error is a natural component of all data and geospatial data are no different, level of the error in your data. List 3 factors that will affect compatibility of different data set: cell size, using raster and vector data together, extent: good for calculating location of each cell. List 2 factors: so much free data you can access online that has errors, people inexperienced with using gis results in more error. Types of error: attribute error, difference between attribute value and real world value, generally caused by blunders in data entry or misclassification, also perception of gis model results in this, ex. Positional error: measures how close the geographic coordinates of a mapped feature are to reality. Introduced during creation of a geospatial database: ex. Can be error when 2 polygons share a boundary. Describe 2 indicators for interval/ratio attribute accuracy representation: personal bias, ________ coefficient.
