Tantrums keep happening because you are unwittingly allowing it to happen. If you continue to ignore it, it should stop. Extinction bursts are a common reaction to trying to get rid of a reaction. 3 things needed: knowledge base: how they function, why they do the things they do. Need to know the difference between positive and negative feedback. Positive feedback changes behaviour, negative feedback only stops behavior.
