Cybercrime: refers to crime committing through the use of a computer or network including financial and authority scams, harassment and identity theft. Boot-sector viruses: attempt to write themselves into the master boot record so that they are the first thing to run when the infected computer starts up. Logic bombs & time bombs: viruses only trigger when certain conditions are met (ex. certain logical process or certain time/date/elapsed amount of time) Worms: worm does not require any interaction from the user of the infected computer, it is capable of reproducing and spreading through normal communications all on its own. Script viruses: script is a small program that is used to perform simple and useful tasks in computer systems and networks. Virus signatures: sections of code that belong to and can identify a particular computer virus. For an antivirus software to be able to recognize these signatures, it must already know about them.
