Signals have switched: devices have more or less changed from using analog signals to using digital signals. Analog format = continuous stream of information (such as light and sound) Digital format = series of values that represent information. Digital format is easier to store and transmit. Music: level of sound is consistent intervals, repeated by playing those levels quickly in sequence. Photos: image divided into tiny regions (pixels) each assigned a particular colour together forming the larger image. Videos: work in the same way just color changes as video plays.
