No quesions on the exam ater the irst four chapters of american gods (from page 1-69). Tuesday"s (march 15) class, we will have the opportunity to write the other 12 quesions from the irst midterm to see if they will change your mark at all. Seems closer to the real than the other novels we have read. Has clear fantasy themes, but it is closer to the real. Another dimension is atached to the real and that provides the fantasy element. Catering to an american audience, stepping into the zone of american literature. Each diferent group brought their diferent gods and now they are stranded in america. The micro-stories show that shadow isn"t the only person who has encounters with these gods, and it adds some history: gaiman shows great imaginaion. Writen in the 21st century; a century with which we can associate ourselves.
