Document Summary
Di erential reinforcement of incompatible behaviour: a procedure in which undesirable behaviours are extinguished. Functional communication training: subtle of dra, in which the alternative behaviour is a communication response. (fct). Can also be considered a subtype called reinforcement of functionally equivalent behaviour: an acceptable behaviour receives the same consequences as an undesirable behaviour. Di erential reinforcement of other behaviour (dro): a procedure in which undesirable behaviours undergo extinction, and a reinforcer is delivered after a period of time in which the behaviour does not occur. This is also called di erential reinforcement of zero responding or di erential reinforcement os the omission of behaviour. It has been applied to ngernail biting, thumb-sucking, and self-injurious behaviour. Whole-interval dro: reinforcer delivered if problem behaviour is absent during the entire interval. Momentary dro: reinforcer delivered if the problem behaviour is absent at the end of the interval.
