People would rather give up other life goals than give up on relationship. True or false: people seek out the company of others even strangers, in times of stress : true. But at the same time they are equipped with re exes that orient them to other people. Turn head to human faces especially those they recognize. They can mimic facial gestures on cue. They also start to smile after a few wee. Human infants are social creatures and it doesn"t go away. Drive to form and maintain a lasting and longing interpersonal relationship: need to belong. Supported by every day observation and also research. People feel goos about themselves if they form new social relationships. Grief and despair if those relationships do not pan out any sort of serration. Social death: rejected, excluded, ostracized and stigmatized. We spend so much time trying o make us attractive to other people.
