Individuals are more likely to turn to illegitimate means if their bonds are weak or broken. Argued that the more bonds you have to society, the less likely you are turn to. Attachment the degree to which you have positive ties to other good people. If you have lots, maybe those ties will keep you from doing crime. Belief the degree to which you actually believe in society"s norms and values. If you don"t agree with society"s norms and values, you"re probably going to ignore them which makes you more likely to do things that society does not agree with me. Commitment the degree to which a person is committed to societal goals and means.
