Semanticity- to be able to reproduce a meaning and apply intention to it. Arbitrariness- ability to impose meaning that are not necessarily logical but comes from traditions and customs. Displacement ability to refer to things that aren"t actually present. Displacement: ability to refer to things that aren"t actually present. Productivity; the ability to produce meaning that may not have a sense. Tradition: ability to pass the language from one generation to another. To lie, mislead, or fake intention to communication. Re ectivity: to be able to talk about what you are talking about. Concatenation (duality of patterning): be able to link from one thing to another.
