Historical ex. teen males are violent; teen girls are hyper sexualized; the queer community is. Diseased and muslim are terrorist youth culture- marketing dominant culture and youth. Youth are a symbolic challenge to dominant culture- as it relies on the containment of youth to maintain the social order . Through the incorporation of youth cultures into dominant and pop culture (not threatening ) Ex. consider the difference between punk music to pop music.
