Unintentional injuries, suicide and homicide are leading causes (in order) of adolescent deaths. Most common mental health disorders include depression, anxiety disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and substance abuse; half of diagnosable mental health disorders by the age of 14. Eating disorders represent 1/3rd most common chronic illnesses among female adolescents.
