Implications: nurses do not take part in ethical decision-making, nurses do not have time to assume role of advocacy. Decision making: can be an outcome or process, not all decisions are ethical. Strategy for decision-making: be aware of the moral dimension of what we do as nurses and recognizing that a decision or situation may have moral importance. Look at who the stakeholders are and what their relationships are. Look at the values involved: look at what decision has to be made now and the context of the decision, clinical issues, preferences, quality of life or death, contextual features.
