People tend to have a better well-being w/ multiple selves (complexity) that are well established (clarity) and are similar & compatible with personal traits (consistency). People will notice and remember info that is consistent w/ their self- concept and screen out others. People prefer feedback consistent with self- concept, select people to associate with on that basis: self-evaluation defined by 3 elements: Self esteem the extent to which people like, respect, and are satisfied w/ themselves. Self efficacy person"s belief that he/she can complete a task successfully. Self concept model: three c"s and four selves.
