Management rights : subject to the employers obligations under the collectibe agreement, the union acknowledges the employers right to manage the operation, include hiring, firing and discipline etc. Multi-step process at each stage the proceedings become more formal and involve more senior representatibes of the union and the employer each step has a time limit; the grievance is usually terminated if a time limit is missed.
