Principle: emphasis: an area that attracts attention in a composition, these areas are more important when compared to other objects or elements, can create this contrast through colours, placement, relative visual weight, etc. Ideally you want a single dominant element, the entry point to your design. Target audience: who are your clients trying to reach, ask your client who they want to appeal to with the design right from the beginning.
