This is gathered via mainly secondary information methods such as newspapers and magazines, interviews, the internet, etc. The application of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data, often in the context of a business or other enterprise. Roles such as communication, inventory management, data management, management information systems, customer relationship management etc. Pros: efficiency (time and cost), accessibility around the world, permanently recorded, saves physical space. Cons: the risk of losing data, security risks. The big difference between the two is that barcodes are line-of-sight technology.
