Visual communication is the communication of ideas through visual display of information. Primarily associated with two dimensional images it includes art signs, photography, typography, drawing fundamentals, colour and electronic resources. Six design elements: contrast, alignment, repetition, proximity, typography, audience. 1. contrast contrast is what happens when two very different visual elements are combined. This physical closeness creates cohesion and implies relation between two or more elements of your design creating unity and organization. Proximity is best achieved when there is not distinct beginning or end to a group. No more group with three or fives items ex. Bullet points: typography - the style and appearance of printed matter.
