Medical history: genetic predispositions to a certain disorder. Developmental history: aspects of a person"s early child development. Family history: genetic predispositions to a certain disorder. Psychosocial history: relationships with family, friends, other interpersonal relationships. Current functioning: sleeping, eating, exercise, mood, etc. Appearance and behaviour: how they act, dress, etc. Thought processes: the way they speak (slow, fast, etc. Mood and affect: body language, sitting style, facial expression, tone of voice, nonverbal behaviour connecting with verbal behaviour. Sensorium: knowing who they are, where they are, when they are. Personality, coping, emotional control, how they think and feel about the world. People are shown pictures and you see how they respond to them. Similar to projective testing, but require the ability to read number statements and respond to how true those statements are in terms of themselves. Determine clinical diagnosis for learning and educational needs and/or work capabilities. More common in children and adolescents than adults.
