Oil painting and breathtaking naturalism created by flemish oil painting. Creates an elevation of the everyday into art. The combination of italian and northern techniques and art styles has been done as well. The italians so admired the oil painting techniques of flemish artists. Flemish artists admired the concept of linear perspective perfected by the italian artists.
