It is cases that were reported and then substantiated as actually has happened. In fact, most child abuse is child neglect. The canadian incidence data on known cases of all types of child abuse. the child abuse we hear the most about. Whether it is intentional or unintentional, child neglect occurs most often. police or child welfare believe the child was harmed in some way but they do not have the means to prove it. 22% remains what we call suspicious. we believe it probably happened. When it comes to child neglect and physical abuse, it is visible. The parent did not intend for harm to be caused, but their actions nonetheless caused the child neglect. : if you are developmentally impaired, and you are raising a child, and the child has an injury that you don"t believe warrants medical attention (but it does). The child is admitted to hospital and it is now a much more serious case.
