A homogeneous society- people all have the same values, beliefs, and pracice the same rituals etc. A heterogeneous society- society today is more of a heterogeneous society, which means people have diferent values, beliefs, speak diferent languages etc. What promotes cultural change? (a change from homogenous society to heterogeneous society) Technology fundamentally changes culture today and the way the world is organized. Globalizaion- we live in a globalized world. Means the boundary"s and barriers that used to separate countries of the world, (poliical, economic, geographical) are removed. Key marker of a globalized world is the spread of the english language. Culture today creates freedoms for people, liberies, diversiicaion, society is heterogeneous. A muli-cultural perspecive enhances people"s freedoms, you can come to. Canada, you are free to sill be able to speak your own languages and pracice your own religions. The rights revoluion, ater world war 2 un said this, it was the universal declaraion of human rights in 1948.
