Sandbox is your persona wiki page where you can practice editing, plan out work, draft articles, or just experiment, without impacting the article mainspace on wikipedia: aka live articles. Think of it as a blank wikipedia article: all of the same tools are available for you to use. Everyone can see your sandbox: important not to copy and paste information as it is still subject to wikipedia"s policies. Sandbox is a good place to prepare first updates to existing article. Do not try to overhaul an entire article in your sandbox. Need to merge your updated content into the article. Only copy material you actually updated into the article. Do not copy the unmodified sections back to the live version of the article. Makes sense to get the first draft ready in the sandbox. This way you can get a handle on some of the article structure, or develop a lead paragraph that contains everything you want to tackle.
