It was used to think about sexual deviancy it was seen as sexual perversion: not normative sexuality. In our every day practices, language, we explain away bisexuality. Pansexuality: romantic and sexual desire for people regardless of their gender identity or assigned sex, bit more inclusive. Includes attracton to transgender individuals: trans folks won"t necessarily adopt a pansexual identity. Monogamy: coupling of two people that excludes intimate involvement of other people, only involved with one person, this is the dominant narrative. Serial monogamy: a series of monogamous partnerships, typically, short-term relationships, committed to each partner, still the dominant narrative. Non-monogamy: sexual interactions with more than one person in a given period, aka concurrent relationships, or sexual relationships with more than one person, polygamy, typically, a religious framework that organizes these relationships, often linked to marriage.
