Critique: horri c working conditions, low pay, dif cult circumstances. Heads of multinational corporations setting rules for everyone else. Branding: getting consumer to feel familiar with product (identify with), market share (grow and expand, limit competition), selling lifestyle, creating loyalty to brand. Creating value : need to get consumers to view product as worth more than what it actually took to manufacture. Ex. comparing 2 cups of coffee - requires strong brand recognition/loyalty (starbucks)
