Freud and psychoanalysis: psychic of or pertaining to the mind, means mental structure, energy. Ego"s role is to make plans for satisfying demands/impulses of the id, it does this by the secondary process. Innocent angel, asexual individual: after puberty - death finally a sexual being. The oral stage: birth to one year: mouth, powerful erogenous zone, early oral stage (0-8 months, sucking, swallowing. The anal stage: one to three years: early anal stage: pleasure from delivering feces. Late anal stage: pleasure from withholding feces: you have to exert control when to use the bathroom, you even when you can, cannot always satisfy yourself. Child invests cause they are the greatest source of pleasure, cleaned his penis, primary associate with pleasure. He wants to have mom all to himself.
