Foley et al (2004): adolescents with low mao more conduct disorder with high childhood adversity, less with low adversity. Mono amine oxidase, it"s an enzyme that breaks down the neurotransmitters, looking at. With low mao you should be more susceptible conduct disorder: but according to this it"s only with the child adversity. Taylor et al (2006): short allele for serotonin receptor = most depression after poor early environment, least after supportive early environment. Doesn"t matter of what genes you have in your genome, what matters is what genes are on/off, and the chemical markers tell us what to do with these genes, but there"s a genome. The turning on/off cells, is largely responsive to the environmental mental decisions.
