Document Summary
Psych 1x03; classic conditioning; c35; sept 16; dr. kim. Learning- relatively enduring change in the mechanisms of behaviour that occurs due to experience. Concepts of learning: the mechanism of behaviour. Behaviour can changed based on learning but can also change due to unrelated- Learning can occur but only in a specific context. Latent learning- observe the effects of learned behaviour that is not yet reflected in learning reasons performance: learning involves change that is relatively enduring. Learning must be retained over time or continually expressed through behaviour: learning is a process based on experience. Behaviours that develop and change as an individual matures, often independent of. Maturing + learning alter mechanisms of behaviour (crawling + strength in legs walking) experience. Allows us to associate actions and consequences. Type of behaviour that learning is applied towards: voluntary, conscious. Classical conditioning: the learning of contingency between a particular signal and a later event that are paired in time and/or space.
