The offender is unlikely to reoffend by the end of their current sentence: 2. They can be one of two things: 1. Individuals with not violent offences are a first time incarceration eligible at the 6 month period. When an individual is granted day parole, they are allowed to leave the institution but at night they have to check into a state facility at night. Relatively short time, aims at rehabilitation: 72% of offenders are granted. Application comes when transition to community is near. Provinicial level, one half of the sentence has to be served. Not within the clutches of the state but still do have limitations they need to abide by. Relatively standard that 43% of the people that apply for parole are granted.
