Post- incarceration and conditional release: types of conditional release, temporary absence, day parole- federal offenders. Eligible after 6 months or one sixth of their sentence, whichever is long: full parole- liberal government decide who to appoint to the parole board. Faint hope clause: discharge and remission- at provincial level, can be discharged early. Don t have to be approved by parole board. Good behaviour, ext: statutory release- at federal level. Do not have to grant discharge, by there has to be charge not to: re scott still incarcerated. Free to wander, has to come back at a certain time.
