What were/are the consequences of the war on terror : was the american war on terror a reasonable policy response to 9/11, military response invasion of iraq & afghanistan, drone strikes, etc. A necessary first step before analyzing terrorism is to define it. There is a politics associated with defining terrorism: book political terrorism 1988 surveyed experts in the field (100) & asked for their definitions. There are clear parallels between state violence and terrorist violence.
